Vietnam Together

About the Founder of VietnamTogether
Curious about people.
Inspired by life.

My name is Ida Brekke, and I have always been fascinated by people
— how they live, adapt, and find beauty even after challenges.
For many years, I worked as a commercial photographer, capturing light,
stories, and emotions across cultures. Later, I spent time in healthcare,
which taught me what truly matters: kindness, connection, and presence.
I’ve travelled a lot on my own, but often missed having someone
to share those moments with — the laughter, the surprises, the memories.
That longing became the seed for Vietnam Together
— a project born from my love for culture and admiration for countries
that have faced hardship yet move forward with grace, like Vietnam.
The idea is simple: to create meaningful journeys designed especially
for families and groups of friends — people who already know each other,
and want to experience something new together without the stress of planning.
Together with designer Sven Skaara, whose background lies in Scandinavian design,
we combine our shared passion for aesthetics, craftsmanship, and cultural understanding.
Through our work — photography, storytelling, and collaboration with
local Vietnamese partners — we aim to create experiences and products that bring
people closer:to each other, and to the real Vietnam.
